 The Academy Awards (also known as The Oscars) were held Sunday night in Los Angeles, and here in the UK that meant staying up late to watch them. I mean 1am late. But nevertheless the Oscars were worth staying up for. 

 I'm a huge film fan, a cinephile. And so I thought I would bring something new to my blog where I can record and recommend new films that I have never seen before each year in a list. Much like the GoodReads challenge I will challenge myself to watching a certain amount of new films. I currently use the Letterboxd app to record what films I have seen and leave reviews so I will use that in partner with the annual film watching list.

After months of waiting the UK has finally received Disney+ and during times of uncertainty and being homebound it couldn't have come more at a perfect time.

It's officially the most festive time of the year, Christmas is coming! I thought I would start the month of December with some festive themed posts. Halloween is tomorrow and what better way to get in the mood for the scariest night of the year than to watch lots of horror films. The BAFTA Film Awards were on last Sunday (10th February) and what an interesting night it was. Filled with highs and lows, surprises and shocks the evening was presented from the Royal Albert Hall in London and hosted, for the second year in a row, by Joanna Lumley.
