The Grace children move into the Spiderwick Estate with their mother to start afresh. However Jared, the mischievous one out of the twins, finds Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide and the children are pulled into a world full of goblins, ogres and faeries.

I absolutely love this movie! It's perfect for children as well as adults. I'd happily put this movie on whenever I love the fantasy side to this narrative and the creatures have been stunningly made via special effects. The Spiderwick Chronicles is a brilliant movie with a adventurous story line, beautiful creatures and of course a happy ending.
The film is based upon the series The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black and although I have not read all of the series...I shall be. This is a fantastic story which any age will be captivated by. What I especially like is the way rhymes are used to convey some of the creatures dialogue/language.

Overall amazing film. Not quite a 5/5 but still one of my all time favourites!

Ways To Be Productive During Self Isolation

I don't want to mention the pandemic that the world is seeing right now too much on my blog but it is a serious matter. With that being said I hope each individual is using best practice for good health and hygiene and most importantly stay safe and at home where possible. A lot of my friends have been saying that during isolation they have been feeling demotivated and miserable at the fact that they can't get out very often and have to stay indoors. With that being said it is very easy to fall into this routine of boredom and lacking the motivation to do anything really, so I have come up with simple suggestions that you could do a little or a lot of each day to make you feel accomplished or even motivated. These really are easy steps to take and remember that this time isn't about how you use it, it's about protecting everyone so it's ok to do nothing too.

2020 GoodReads Challenge

  Here it is again, the annual countdown of how many books I have read in the year. The last couple of years I had done so well in achieving the target or reading more than what I had initially set myself. This year was different. I had set myself a target of 30 books and I only read 20. A lot of the time I felt unmotivated to read throughout lockdown but some books I whizzed through and others I struggled with.
